Rescue Alert was created to help families searching for their missing children. Current policies, procedures, and laws do not adequately protect youth from traffickers, particularly those who are classified as runaways. If you have a missing child, you can reach out to Rescue The Fosters for assistance.
According to the FBI and NCMEC, 88% of sex trafficking victims come from the foster care system. Why is this the case? Rescue The Fosters aims to make it more difficult for traffickers to target children in care. Unfortunately, existing policies and procedures regarding runaways make it easier for traffickers to exploit these vulnerable youth.
